This is long for me. Ha ha.

I finally got a much needed haircut! I know that when I say that people automatically think that I cut all my hair off like I normally do, but you can breathe easy becuase I didn't. I have been just letting my hair grow since the beginning of the year and it was just getting very shaggy. It needed to be cleaned up, so I got in trimmed and evened out and stuff. I actually do like my slightly longer hair though. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for the time being I am happy with it. I'm definitely not growing it out long, but maybe it won't be super super short for a while. It's a nice change.

Jackson, WY. Weirdest town ever.

Have you ever been to Jackson? It's so weird! And in the middle of nowhere. Not a place I would ever want to live, but it was actually kind of cool to go visit. My best friend for the summer, Brady, and I went there for the weekend. (His best friend is gone and so is mine so we are being best friends for the summer so life doesn't suck so much. Ha ha.) His sister is living there for the summer, so we went to visit her. While we were there, it was Elk Fest. Never have I seen so many antlers in my life! So there is an elk refuge there and apparently all the boy scouts go out and collect all the antlers that the elk shed every year and then auction them off. The scouts then get a portion of the proceeds. Those must be some seriously rich scouts! I just don't even understand what people want antlers for, especially when they didn't even kill the animal themselves. I don't get it, but I swear the whole town of Jackson was in the little town square to see it. Overall I had a lot of fun hanging out with Brady and his sister and brother-in-law. And I got to see some elk, moose, and a beaver! We also drove out and saw some beautiful scenery. It was nice to go somewhere new for a little bit. Here's some pictures of some things I saw.

Yes, this arch is made out of antlers.

I absolutely love this picture of Brady!

This is just a sample of the amount of antlers that were at Elk Fest. Check out those truck loads in the background!

Tetons. Gorgeous.

This is a beautiful frozen lake that we drove out to. I love it!

I'm really bad at making decisions.

So right when I think my life is all falling into place, it all falls apart. Towards the end of winter semester I felt like all my hard work was finally going to pay off. I was looking forward to getting a scholarship that would cover my full tuition and had a job lined up for the summer. Of course, that is not how things worked out. I didn't get good enough grades for the scholarship and ended up hating the job. I guess I should have figured that's what would have happened. I mean that is the way my life usually goes. Ha ha.

So here's what happened, Courtney and Travis were going to sell security systems in Indiana with a company called Sound Security. Court wanted me to go with her because she thought it would be a really good opportunity for me to make some money over the summer. I learned more about it and finally decided I would do it. I went back and forth throughout the semester about wanting to go and not wanting to, but in the end I decided it was the right thing for me to do. Court, Trav, and I set out for Indiana the day after school got out. That was the longest drive ever, let me tell ya. I really liked Indianapolis though. It's a really cool city, and going to Indiana was a fun adventure. I got to see a lot of cool things and meet some great people. I was there for about a week before I realized that it really wasn't where I wanted to be. It really hit me when Court decided to quit. Going out there was her idea, so it was a hard thing for me to get past. I had so much more fun when she was with me. I don't blame her for quitting though. That was not something she could handle. And when I came down to it, I decided that I didn't want to do that job anymore. It was a decision between making money and being happy. I chose being happy.

We were checkin out the sights in Indy. They've got some sweet places there.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Court. Ha ha!

I saw the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! And there is a cool museum there.

So then a few days after I quit, I flew to Salt Lake City. I spent some time there with my friend Ben. I saw some things and had some fun. Then I headed up to Rexburg, where I have been living ever since. I moved into a house with a bunch of my friends. I just relaxed, hung out and had as much fun a possible for the first few weeks I was here. Now I'm working a little at Western Wats and still having as much fun as I can. I'm so happy with my decision to come back to Rexburg, but I also don't regret going to Indiana. I learned something about myself, got to see new places, meet new people, and realize what is important. Sometimes you just need to slow down and enjoy life. That's what I'm doing right now. If you aren't, then I highly suggest you try it!

The Great Salt Lake was a lot prettier than I thought it would be.

We went to the planetarium!

And temple square of course.

Broke phone. New phone. No worries.

Alright, so bad news. When I fell longboarding and landed on my phone, it did break. And I'm still pretty sad about it because I loved that phone and had it for quiet a few years. But I did get a new phone and I'm finally actually starting to like it. I got another slider cause I really don't like flip phones. It's not as small as my old one, but it is thinner. It's growing on me. I totally still have the bruise on my leg from falling on my phone as you can see in that picture. At least I can finally put things in that pocket again, because for the first week it hurt too bad to do that. That bruise is way bigger than my phone was though. ha ha. I suppose I shouldn't complain since I didn't even have to pay to get a new phone. How lucky is that! Between instant rebates and mail-in rebates, all I had to pay is an upgrade fee. If only that's how it worked for ipods...

So Pretty. So Rad. So Expensive...

Oh man do I need to stop buying things. But look how pretty it is! Say hello to my new longboard. Thanks to my good friend Ben, who helped me pick it out and find one that is good for me, I bought this just last Wednesday. It's pretty much my favorite thing to do now. Although I have already hurt myself, I'm not about to stop! lol. Last night I had my first actual fall. I landed right on my phone, which may now be broken, but cross your fingers cause it is being so good right now. My phone also gave me a pretty good bruise on my leg. ha ha. I pretty much plan to spend as much of my summer as I can on this board. Hopefully no serious damage occurs.

Weekend of Exhaustion/Fun

I actually had a really fun weekend. Although it was quite exhausting. Friday I was woken up early but my loud and annoying roommates. The one I share a room with likes to get up and leave the room, but not close the door. This is particularly annoying because our room is the one closest to the kitchen and living room, which means that I can easily hear my ridiculously loud roommates very well. They have no regard for what time it may be or if someone is sleeping, whether it be incredibly early or late. Yeah, needless to say it wasn't a great start. My friday was busy with classes and work, but eventually I got to have some fun. My friend Carolee is graduating this semester and she is a photgraphy major, so I got to go see her work displayed in the art gallery we have on campus. Then I went to my friends Preston and Corine's wedding reception. They are just the cutest couple. At the end of the reception, they turned it into a dance party which is so fitting for them. ha ha. It was a blast.

Saturday I had to get up early for a Sound Security training. After the training, we went to Rigby to do some selling. This was the first time that I had gone out to sell. I was a little nervous, but it really wasn't that bad. I didn't really do anything on my own, but I did get to see how it's done and I learned a lot. I'm less worried about this summer now. That was a long day of training and selling and I was worn out by the time I got home, but my day was not over yet. My good friend Sven was playing a bluegrass/thug rap show. lol. It was amazing. Well worth staying up for. Then for some reason I went to Denny's. I should have gone to sleep, but it was fun and accidently turned into a little girls night. The boys that were coming in a different car ended up having some car trouble and didn't come. ha ha.

So, by the time is was sunday I was suffering from exhaustion and hadn't even started my homework yet. I some how got it all done, but still have not recovered from my accute form of exhaustion. And since finals are next week, I'm sure that my recovery won't happen any time soon...

Rexburg = Ridiculous

I can't even believe the weather this winter. I have never been so cold in my life. Worst winter I have ever experienced, easily. And now the weather is just getting ridiculous. I mean come on, it's almost April and what has happened today and yesterday? It's snowed! Then the snow goes away and everyone gets all hopeful, but the next day it just snows again. I need to get out of this place. I need some sun and warmth!

This first picture was taken yesterday at around 9 in the morning. This is what I like to call wet snow. The one next to it was taken within that same hour. This is no longer wet snow. It changed to serious snow!

Then this picture was taken the same day as the top two, but at around 4:30 p.m. Everything actually ended up drying out quite nicely. Then the second picture is what I woke up to this morning around 7:30 a.m. I think Rexburg may be bipolar, and I don't like it.

New Camera!

I finally got a digital camera and I am so pumped! It is so little and amazing. It also has so many cool features, many that I'm sure I haven't even figured out yet. I'm excited that I can now have some documentation of my life. ha ha. It's a canon powershot. check it out. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=145&modelid=14901

Here's the first picture I took with it. I can't wait for this summer, when I'll get to take pictures of all the cool new things I get to see!

Puzzlemania.

So recently I had really been wanting to do a puzzle (do a puzzle, make a puzzle, build a puzzle, put a puzzle together? I never know what to say). I love puzzles. I don't know why, but I always have. Ever since I was a little kid. I would always help my dad with them growing up. Well I decided I would buy one. I found a totally rad one at Wal-Mart. As you can see from these pictures, it's pretty much amazing. It's a panoramic picture of Times Square. It was 750 pieces and actually didn't take very long to do at all. Of course I'm sure that's because I had help. The day I started it my friend Travis came over to help out. Once he saw that Beyonce was on it, he concentrated all his efforts on completing that part of the puzzle. Needless to say that corner of the puzzle was the first part to really look like anything. lol. Then on a different day my friend Ben came over and in not very much time at all we completed the rest of it. Ben is pretty dang good at puzzles (except when he is just putting pieces in the middle of nowhere and not connecting them to anything, that's not how you do puzzles Ben). I left it on my living room floor for quite a while, but finally put it away last night. Sad. But at least I have documentation of it. lol. Pretty much now I want to buy more puzzles and just always be working on one, but that's probably not a good idea. There are more important things that require my attention. Well I just wanted to share one of my joys with you all. Hopefully you will all of a sudden feel the need to go buy a puzzle. You won't regret it.

What's goin on.

Alright, so I figure I should start by giving you a little update on my life. Right now I'm living in the Davenport Apartments, which are pretty ghetto compared to where I used to live. Here's a picture of my side of my room. Whenever I am home, this is where I spend all of my time because I have weirdies (as Court calls them) for roommates. They are also really messy people, which I cannot stand. This picture of the vaniety is a perfect example of that. Nothing on that counter is mine. And the other picture is the cleanest the kitchen has been in a long time. I mean dang, you can actually see the counter. ha ha. But don't get me wrong, my roommates are good people. But yeah, between work, class, and trying to have a social life, I don't spend alot of time at home. Unless I am doing homework like I should be doing right now. This is going to be a very stressful week. I have two tests (one of which is for my hardest class) and a huge paper to write. I'm going to go start working on some of that. :)

Purpose. Hopefully this will serve its purpose.

Well I figure this is a good way for me to actually document some things about my life. I don't know if it will work or how long I will continue to use this, but it has potential. Some really crazy, interesting, funny, and terrifying things have happened to me in my life, and I think I should write them down. Many people throughout my life have told me that I should write a book. I don't think that will ever happen, so this will have to do. I hope I can make this interesting and that the people who read this can learn some things about my past and what's going on with me right now. And who knows, you might be glad you came.
