Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Thought I'd give a little shout out to the major holidays that have passed. I dressed up like a girl from the 80's for halloween and ended up looking like Jenna Rink from 13 going on 30 so I went with it. My roommate Debbie was Miss Frizzle from the Magic School Bus. Amazing! She made her whole outfit. She also made our other roommate's costume. Morgan is Pocahontas. Super cute! We also carved pumpkins for FHE. People always think the pumpkin I carved is the boy from Where the Wild Things Are, but it isn't. It is a little character that my friend Drew always draws. I haven't seen Drew in quite a while, so I made the pumpkin for him.

For thanksgiving I got to go visit my sister Mel in Spokane. I almost couldn't get a ride, so I was really happy to be there. While I was there we decorated sugar cookies one night and made a mini gingerbread village another night. We had a blast spending time together and had a great Thanksgiving dinner with her boyfriend Glenn's family.

So its been a year...

Here I am sitting on my parents couch once again for Christmas break. So as you have probably noticed I'm not very good at writing on my blog. I'll give you a little update on my life. I just finished Fall semester at BYU-Idaho. I got straight A's! I'm pretty excited about that. I had a really busy semester and no social life, but it paid off. :) I took five classes and did an internship so that does not leave much time for anything else. I had a lot of fun classes though. In one of my classes we trained baby chickens and then rats. My rat's name was Socrates. We taught him to climb from our foot to our shoulder, to run through a maze, and to jump from one desk to another. He is able to jump 3 and a half feet! It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I also took a family history class. I learned so much in this class and got to learn tons about my family. I even got some work done for my family members. It was great and something I'm g
oing to keep doing now that I know how.

My internship was another thing that took up a lot of my time, but was so much fun. I worked at a Juvenile Correction Center with about 12 boys who had all been ordered their by judges. They had to work their way through a program and participate in group counseling. I got to watch this whole process and really get to know the boys. The boys did everything together as a group and were responsible for keeping each other in line. The program uses peer pressure in a good way. I got to learn the group dynamics and watch these boys change their lives around.

I also had the opportunity to go to the reception of my very dear friend Janae. She got married in November and her and her family are very important to me so it was so wonderful to be able to go be with them. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Here are some pictures of her and her new husband. Also her parents and grandmother. They are wonderful people that have touched my life.

Home for the Holidays.

I'm currently sitting in the living room of my parents house for the first time in a year. I've been here for almost 3 weeks and will be heading back to Idaho in just a few days. I cannot even say how wonderful it has been to be home!

When I first got here there was tons of snow and it stayed for about 2 weeks. The only good thing about that was that is kept me home so that I have spent a lot of time with my family. My little vacation has been spent being pretty lazy and hanging out with family and friends. Exactly like it should be.

Update: I know you've all been waiting for it.

Well lets see...

This summer was fantastic. I spent it in Rexburg living in a house with a bunch of my friends. It was a great time and so nice to be in Idaho for the good weather. At first I worked little and just had fun with my friends. Then I switched jobs and worked full time, but that still left time for fun and bonding. I became closer with many of my friends and added some brand new people close to my heart.

First of all there is Brady. An unlikely friendship that happened so quickly but was perfect. I think it was just what we both needed. He was my BFFN (best friend for now), since both of ours were not with us. He has been at home this last semester, but in a few days we will be together again and I couldn't be more excited!

Then there is Ammon. During the seven week break in between summer and fall semesters, Rexburg is pretty empty and Ammon and I started hanging out. It turned into him being my best friend. We were very close and I will love him forever. He is still someone I cherish.

These are the main two people to have an impact on my life over the summer, but I made other friends and got to know other people better as well. It was a good time spent longboarding, working, and bonding.

Here are some pictures of the summer. Enjoy.

Alright now to fall semester. This was one of my busiest semesters yet. I took 14 credits and worked 20 hours a week. That is the most I have ever worked while going to school full time. I pretty much had no time to do anything but homework. Luckily I had the best roommates ever so I didn't have to go far for someone to hang out with. It was a fun semester despite the time constraints. Plus, it was all worth it because I got straight A's! :)

I also gained some new friends throughout the semester. Two of my favorites are Dan and Tyler. The first picture is Dan and I. Its not one of my favorites, but he has all the good ones. He is in my ward and we walked to class together everyday. He's wonderful and we get to spend lots more time together next semester. Tyler was my FHE brother. He's just the cutest little 18 year old that I will probably never see again because he is going on his mission (to the Colorodo Denver Mission by the way). Despite the fact that I told myself I wasn't going to become friends with anyone that young, Tyler and I have become close friends and hopefully it will stay that way.

Here are some pictures from fall semester. I will miss my roommates so much!

Halloween! I did something to help out pretty much each of these costumes.

We had a sweet swap every sunday and fit as many people in our apartment as we could. Ha ha.
